From the June 2003 Idaho Observer:
Police task force raids CDA bars
COEUR D'ALENE -- On the Saturday evening of May 31, a posse of some 30 city, county and state police barged into the Iron Horse Saloon, I Dunnos and the Torch Lounge, locked the doors and would not let anyone in or out until the IDs of both patrons and employees had checked out.
The raid was reportedly conducted at the behest of the state liquor control board and included parole and probation officers. Bar checks in Coeur d'Alene and the outlying area looked more like a military operation, said those who watched about two dozen law officers enter establishments Saturday night, wrote Dave Turner for the Coeur d'Alene Press June 5.
