World-class armwrestler becomes latest front in laetrile wars

Jason Vale looking at 30 years for apricot seeds

If a person sets up a booth to sell apricot seeds because they taste good, he can, provided he has the proper vendor permits, sell them to anyone he pleases all day long. But, if he claims apricot seeds, which contain the known anti-cancer compound amygdalin, can help to prevent or reverse cancer, he can go to prison. In the case of Jason Vale of New York, you can also go to prison if you sell the seeds to people who want them and someone else tells them they are good for your health.

QUEENS, New York -- Jason Vale was convicted last August of selling apricot seeds with intent to heal and will be sentenced December 19, 2003, in New York District Federal Court. Vale, 35, is looking at 30 years in federal prison though he harmed no one, there are no complaints against him and he has reportedly helped some 30,000 people regain their health.

The persecution of Vale by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) represents the opening of a new front in organized medicine's war on laetrile that officially began in 1953. That was the year two physicians of questionable intent, on behalf of the California Medical Association, reported that laetrile was not an effective cancer control therapy using suspect science to back their claims.

Though thousands of people have experienced a reversal of their cancer conditions with the help of laetrile and its method of action has been scientifically demonstrated, the FDA and the cancer industry still cite the bogus 1953 report, “The Treatment of Cancer with Laetriles” as the definitive work on the subject.

Vale, who was terminal with cancer at an early age, had put himself in the hands of oncologists who subjected him to the normal regimen of radiation and chemotherapy.

When his cancer came back a third time, Vale began reading everything he could find on cancer and cancer treatments. He turned to alternative healing and successfully reversed his cancer with prayer and eating apricot seeds. The seeds of these fruits contain amygdalin, which has been found to be successful in the healing of all types of cancers, as well as in preventing cancer.

Amygdalin is also known as Vitamin B17.

After his cancer reversed, Vale went on to become a world class armwrestler.

Top physicians Dr. Kanematsu Sugiura and Dr. John Richardson stood firmly behind their findings that Vitamin B17 stops cancer in their report entitled, “Second Opinion.”

This simple natural cure for cancer would cut into the megaprofits of the multinational cancer industry because it cannot be patented. Apricot seeds, which sell for about $15 a pound, could easily compete with the highly dangerous and toxic chemotherapy and radiation used in standard cancer treatments.

With global spending on conventional cancer treatments running into the hundreds of billions dollars annually, any news of a successful cancer treatment extracted from the simple apricot seed would do serious damage to the profits of the international cancer industry.

The effectiveness of apricot seeds in controlling cancer is astonishing. Dr. Dean Burk, the former head of the Cytochemistry Department of the National Cancer Institute and one of the co-founders of this famous American medical institution, has worked on Vitamin B17 personally. He states,

“When we add vitamin B17 to a cancer culture under the microscope,” said Burk, “providing the enzyme glucosidase also is present, we can see the cancer cells dying off like flies!”

Vale has traveled the country in arm wrestling matches since his healing, and has been interviewed by various newspapers like the Wall Street Journal, radio stations, and TV shows such as Extra and global news networks like CNN.

The staff of Extra received such a large number of callers after Vale's interview aired, that they broadcast his show a second time. Vale began to supply people with apricot seeds and an information video through his company, Christian Brothers, and thereafter thousands called in with success stories ranging from cancer gone to tumors shrinking down. These success stories are all documented at the website: www.seedoffaith.org, along with the court documents (Email: NY@seedoffaith.org).

Eventually, without even one customer complaint, the FDA came in and seized apricot seeds and computers and brought Vale to criminal court for promoting this natural answer to cancer.

In the summer of 2002 Vale's family had to put liens on their properties to pay the $840,000 bail that was placed on him pending his trial.

On July 14, 2003, in the Federal Eastern District of New York courtroom of Judge John Gleeson, Vale lost his Constitutional Rights to be able to continue to tell his story of how he defeated one of the world's most deadly opponents -- cancer.

This case has been quiet for some time now. Vale has turned down shows such as Dateline, 20-20 and 60 Minutes in the past two years. He has been in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NY since July 21. His sentencing date is scheduled for December 19, 2003, in the Federal Courtroom of Judge John Gleeson, 225 Cadman Plaza East, Brooklyn, NY 11201.

He is in need of as much support as possible at his 2 p.m. sentencing. Vale can only be visited by his parents, but he can receive letters and cards at this address:

Jason Vale #09073-067
Metropolitan Detention Center
P. O. Box 329002
Brooklyn, NY 11232

He can also receive books and magazines mailed directly from a publishing company with “Approved By Bureau of Prisons Policy” on the packing slip.

Note: Laetrile/amygdalin/vitamin B17 is best described as a “smart bomb.” The late Dr. Bruce Halstead, an authority on the subject of laetrile since the mid-70s said this about the substance: Amygdalin contains a sugar, a cyanide and a benzaldehyde. Cancer is attracted to the sugar, the cyanide kills the cancer cell and the benzaldehyde's analgesic effect kills the pain.

Dr. Ernesto Contreras, the world's most successful laetrilist at the Oasis Clinic in Tijuana, said this about laetrile: It is one of our best tools in treating cancer. When people come to us they are very sick. They cannot hold food down, they are losing weight, they are in pain and tired all the time. When we give them laetrile, the cancer stops spreading, they begin to feel better and they start eating again. Then their own bodies begin to get stronger so they can use their own immune systems to help get better. Laetrile buys us time so that our own bodies can begin the healing process.
