From the December 2004 Idaho Observer:

Citizen committee to shine light on Sept. 11 tragedies

SPIRIT LAKE -- The official explanations for what happened at each attack site on 9/11 - New York, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pennsylvania - are disingenuous at best. The Idaho Observer, in cooperation with several otherwise unconnected members of the 9/11 truth movement, is in the process of producing "The Report of the Citizens’ Committee on 9/11."

Thousands of people across the country know in their hearts that the events of Sept. 11, 2001 were orchestrated at the highest levels of U.S. government to create a pretext for a "war on terror" - and to deepen the federal war on American civil liberties.

The purpose of the 24-page Citizens’ Committee Report is to test key components of the official story against the laws of natural science, eyewitness testimonies, physical evidence and simple logic.

The report will also compare the 9/11 Commission Report to other presidentially commissioned investigations like Pearl Harbor, the Kennedy assassination, Iran Contra and the impeachment of Bill Clinton. "A cursory review of previous presidential commissions shows a pattern of reaching conclusions that are absolutely absurd in order to minimize official culpability in capital crimes," commented committee member and report editor Don Harkins.

The Citizens’ Committee Report, which will be completed by mid-January, is modeled after The People’s Income Tax Guide and The Artificially Sweetened Times. While the "choir" will find it interesting, the target audience is those who unquestioningly believe the 19-Arab-terrorists-armed-with-boxcutters theory and those who automatically dismiss evidence of official complicity as "conspiracy theories."

The report will reveal, in a psychologically-compelling fashion, the most glaring inconsistencies of each attack and analyses of how the resultant "war on terror" has changed America - and the world. Lists of books, videos, DVDs and Internet sites will also be supplied to help readers conduct further investigation. "This is the mother of all conspiracies. If we can prove it to enough Americans now, before Oliver Stone turns it into a Hollywood movie, we can quickly win the war on terrorism because the terrorists will have been taken into custody," commented committee member Tom Fowler.
