Cruel Hoax: Feminism and the New World Order by Henry Makow

Book Review by Ingri Cassel

Since the long awaited for arrival of Cruel Hoax: Feminism and the New World Order in our mailbox last December, I find nearly every conversation creates an opportunity to begin sharing Makow’s brilliant insights into a core issue of why everything seems to be going wrong in America. Makow is a brilliant and eloquent writer who has succinctly explained what I have been feeling inside most of my life: That "feminism" has been intentionally sewn into our culture to facilitate the systematic destruction of heterosexual relationships and the nuclear family. Makow also describes why the destruction of families is central to the "New World Order" scheme.

The truth is that I was a typical product of the baby boom years after World War II and grew up believing that girls and boys are basically the same except for their body parts.

However, I was curious enough by the society I grew up in to want to know more about human behavior so I pursued a degree in humanistic psychology. During the course of obtaining a bachelor’s degree, I took many classes intended to program students into believing feminist-backed philosophies.

As the 70s became the 80s, gender differences were increasingly minimized and the professional world was suddenly open to men and women equally. Although most young women dream about finding a man whom they love, trust and respect enough to marry and have children with, the culture urges them to attend college and begin a career first and wait until later to start a family. Psychologically, women are tricked into prioritizing school, work and money over motherhood and child rearing, their central biological function and primary social obligation.

Makow is a brilliant thinker and writer, connecting the dots of the conspiracy to destroy the family, the foundation of a healthy society. This is done by neutering males psychologically and making them irrelevant and redundant.

In today’s world, women do not have to choose between careers and family because their formerly vital role as family nurturers has been obsoleted by state-licensed daycares; fathers are disposable. What better way to control the masses then by having the state raise our children in the absence of a functional nuclear family. Makow’s choice of a 1976 quote from Harry Rosenthal succinctly encapsulates the impact of this arrangement on individuals and culture: "We have castrated society through fear and intimidation. Its manhood exists only in combination with a feminine outward appearance. Being so neutered, the populace has become docile and easily ruled. As all geldings...their thoughts are not involved with concerns of the future and their posterity, but only with the present and with the next meal."

Cruel Hoax is a series of poignant essays divided into four sections: Book One–Feminism, Communism and the New World Order; Book Two–Homosexuality and Hetero-homosexuality; Book Three–How Heterosexuality Works; Book Four–Freemasonry, Brainwashing and the Illuminati.

What many readers will appreciate most are the insights Makow elucidates in Book Three–How Heterosexuality Works. I found myself reflecting for weeks on my own familial relationships and how our ignorance of gender differences in the context of a healthy heterosexual relationship is at the root of dysfunctional families and hence society today.

Once you read this book you will begin to look at everything differently and you will see that lesbianism and homosexuality in men aren’t lifestyle choices individuals make of their own free will. These sexual aberrations are the result of patiently laid traps intended to create weak, malleable, self-absorbed citizen/subjects through the statutory and social advancement of feminist ideals.

Why? Because a nation of virtuous, self-governing individuals who are products of healthy heterosexual unions represent the greatest threat to a totalitarian state.
