From the May 2001 Idaho Observer: Press conference opens new era of public disclosure on UFO issue Project Disclosure finds international audience by Mike Marino On May 9, 2001 the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., held a historic press conference for Project Disclosure at 9 a.m. EST regarding the highly controversial subject of UFOs. The press conference, convened at the insistence of Steven Greer, M.D. of the Center for the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI), was simulcast live worldwide on the Internet through the organization's website at: www.disclosureproject.org. Other civilizations are, and have been visiting our planet for a long time, said the country doctor from Virginia. Dr. Greer's beliefs were supported by several former military personnel who testified that they have seen aircraft, in some cases crashed aircraft, on the ground with humanoid beings inside. The U.S. government and the general public have taken thousands of photos depicting unidentified aircraft and the unidentified beings piloting them. The conference opens a new era of public awareness of our place in the cosmos. Until today, a cloak of secrecy had hidden the truth surrounding these events, but the Project Disclosure press conference and its many credible testimonies are now public record and available to the world on videotape. Harvard trained attorney and UFO researcher Daniel Sheehan said the conference would help to, break the bonds of unconstitutional restraints, that have kept this knowledge from the people for far too long. Meetings with Congressional aides will continue through the week in an attempt to force Congress to penetrate the Black Operations that control information surrounding these visitors. The week's efforts will culminate with a full day Conference at the Hilton Hotel in Washington May 12.
