From the August 2002 Idaho Observer: NORFED founder coming to CDA for annual audit, luncheon COEUR D'ALENE -- Liberty Currency developer and NORFED founder Bernard von Nothaus will be in Coeur d'Alene Sept. 10-11 for his annual audit of the Sunshine Mint. Area redemption centers will also be encouraging those in the area who are interested in the silver-backed alternative to the paper dollar to meet von Nothaus over lunch at a restaraunt here Sept. 10. Redemption centers are people and businesses such as The Idaho Observer who have agreed to take Federal Reserve Auditing Unit Dollars (FRAUDS) in exchange for Liberty Currency or Silver Liberty coins. Redemption centers will be allowed to designate a representative to accompany von Nothaus on his tour and audit of the Sunshine Mint here which mints the coins used to back the paper warehouse receipts called Liberty Currency. Redemption centers are also invited to join von Nothaus at Wolf Lodge the evening of Sept. 11 for dinner. For more information on how to become a redemption center, see ad on page 9 or call The Idaho Observer at (208) 255-2307. If you would like to learn more about Liberty Currency and wish to attend the luncheon, contact The IO and we will call you when the time and location have been secured.
