From the November 2002 Idaho Observer: Surrounded on all sides; time to circle the wagons Many attempts have been made to network those Americans who demand to be free. Now is the time to establish an effecitve network. Divided is conquered but defeat is not an option. by George (Liberty) Bell When danger lurked on every side, and their very survival was in question, the leaders of a wagon train circled the wagons. They stood their ground, pooled their resources and defended themselves against a common foe. While Sept. 11, 2001, may live in infamy, Sept. 11, 2002 will live on as a pivotal point in the history of our nation for true freedom lovers. It was the point at which some brave leaders in the freedom/liberty movement called for a circling of the wagons. This is truly an idea whose time has come. Sept. 11, 2002, marks the date of the launching of Liberty League, a call to join together and pool our resources, not only to defend ourselves from a common enemy, but to move forward and reestablish America as it can and should be. Liberty League is an unincorporated First Amendment fellowship of liberty-loving, real Americans who understand the original intent of the framers of the Constitution, and pledge to support and defend it against all enemies, foreign and domestic. It is no longer possible to feed the federal beast unlimited amounts of our hard earned money and expect to survive. The very fuel that they need to destroy us is coming from us, and that must come to an end. Just like it was foolish to sell scrap iron to the Japanese in the 20s and nuclear technology to the Chinese in the 90s, so it is also foolish and counter-productive to continue to patronize the federal behemoth that is living on the banks of the Potomac. Regardless of what your main concern is or the organization(s) you support, you are welcomed and needed in the ranks of Liberty League. When the arrows are flying at us from all sides, it is not the time to nurture petty differences in what we feel is the best point of attack. We need to jointly defend ourselves. That is what Liberty League is all about. They do not ask you to change or stop anything that you are doing. There are countless groups and organizations in existence that vary in some degree in their choice of attack modes. Whatever you are doing for the cause of liberty, keep doing it. Just take your place in the circled wagons so that we know we are all on the same side of the larger issue. There is one thing that we can all agree upon. Our freedoms are being eroded daily and the Constitutional restraints are being ignored by our elected and appointed leaders. At the current time we are disorganized, disjointed and weak. But, under the banner of Liberty League we can all gain strength and support as we network together for economic purposes. I do not think anyone has an idea as to how many of us exist out there. By our very nature we are trying not to draw attention to ourselves. We are attempting to stay beneath the radar. In the process, however, we are also hiding from each other. To put it plainly, we need to know who our friends are and support each other. There is probably no single problem so pervasive as the economic struggle that exists in the freedom/liberty movement. We need to work together in an underground economy. In order to do that we need to know who we are, where we are, and what goods and services each has to offer. Liberty League can accomplish that goal. It is an organization that will help us find each other so that we can do business together. It will all be done legally without SSNs, licenses, permits, W-4s, 1099s or any other apparatus of the federal beast. If we are to be free, then we must live free. We must no longer submit ourselves to the rules, regulations and requirements of the all-knowing, all-seeing beast. But, in our desire to be below the radar screen of the IRS, EPA, and all the other alphabet soup bureaus, agencies, and organizations, we must be able to find and do business with like-minded people. In a nut shell, here is how it works. The entire nation is divided up into Congressional districts. Each of these districts will have one focal point, a District Director (DD) who will be the central clearing house for information. All members will be able to find other members both in their own district, and other districts, for the purpose of economic activity. Members will offer their services at a preferred pricing to other members. This will draw business to you from other members who did not know about you. You, of course, continue to offer your product or service to the general public, but you help out like-minded freedom lovers, while at the same time, increasing your business. It truly is a win/win situation. Each of us will be able to find a grocer, carpenter, plumber, accountant, barber, mechanic, chiropractor, etc., who is one of us. We will certainly want to patronize them rather than someone who is working hand-in-hand with the federal beast. As the membership grows, each of us gains a larger degree of financial independence in an economic system that is not feeding the beast. So, it accomplishes two purposes. First, it denies resources to our enemy and second, it increases income to our fellow league members. This increased economic strength is then available to help each of us fight the battle on the particular front that we feel is the most crucial. So, regardless of your major concern, be that home schooling, alternative health, licensing, permits, United Nations, W-4s and all tax issues, or whatever, you will be strengthened to continue the battle. This short article cannot begin to do justice to the scope of the League. I urge you to join and take up your position in the circled wagons and let's all stand together.
