The IO originally referred to the "mainstream" media as the "fourth branch (of government)." In 1998, we began referring to the networked, print and broadcast multinational corporate monoliths allegedly reporting the "news" as the "dominant media."

As of 5/07, The IO will now refer to government’s print and broadcast media mouthpieces as the "mindcontrol media." ~The IO staff
